Tauheen–E–Resaalat

We do by our mouths and say by the limbs. Words are actions and actions are words. We need a stringent blasphemy (prevention) law to have a check on blasphemy in actions and not only of words. The law of blasphemy should come into effect when we find ourselves following in the footsteps of our forefathers thoughtlessly. The Rasool (pbuh) never did that so it must necessarily be disrespect to him – especially coming from his followers.

We need to apply the law of Tauheen-e-Resaalat when we subjugate the womenfolk as it is an insult to the Prophet (pbuh) – the liberator of women and all the downtrodden sections of the society. We need to implement the law of blasphemy when we find that we have everything for the humanity except CONCERN as this was his (pbuh) prime concern. The same law should instantly come into action as soon as we are found focusing on seeking and not on giving – contrary to the entire career of the Rasool (pbuh).

The law of blasphemy should be made further stringent when we are found merely quoting from the texts and leaving the entire spirit, environment and the crux of it behind. The law of blasphemy should be immediately implemented when we selectively seek guidance from Sharee‘ah as in the cases of blasphemy and Babari Masjid only – to satisfy and justify our swollen egos and the gigantic ‘I’s.

The same law should instantly be implemented when we quote to defeat the ‘opponent’ in arguments and not to win him over. The law of blasphemy should be invoked in all those situations when we suspend or ignore the law of blasphemy. The law of blasphemy should be invoked whenever we invoke the law of blasphemy. The law of blasphemy should be invoked whenever we are very sure about the (need of implementing the) law of blasphemy.

The law of blasphemy should be invoked when we deal with the symptoms and not the diseases. This is Tauheen-e-Resaalat because the Rasool dealt with the causes of the diseases and not the symptoms alone. This is why he did not rush from mount Hira to Ka‘bah for destroying the hundreds of idols. He addressed every single human mind instead – taking the longest way. Hence, the blasphemy law is required whenever we fall in love with the short-cuts.

The law of blasphemy should be brought into force when we sing praises of him but do not learn from the Mu‘allim (pbuh). The law of blasphemy should be invoked when we ignore the core issues and do not try to figure out what we should be doing and how. The law of blasphemy is very much needed when we settle down for anything less than the TRUTH without searching for It to the best of our capacities and as much objectively as humanly possible.

The law of blasphemy is very much required when it is noticed that there are certain topics that we write and speak about on certain occasions only. Once the ‘season’ is over we do not go back to the same subjects. We go back to them when a given season again arrives in a cyclic manner e.g. Ramadan – without relating it and applying it in the entire year. The same law should be invoked when this year again we debate about the number of Rak‘aat in Taraaweeh. Let us not forget that the Rasool (pbuh) had moved far ahead between two Ramadaans.

It was a blasphemy when we divided the “masjid”. It is a blasphemy when we blow things out of proportion and become victims of misplaced priorities. The law of blasphemy should become operative when we show the signs of not developing the habit of staying with the problems longer. When we do not channelize our emotions and anger on what is happening in a creative and meaningful way. When we look at the trees but miss out on the jungle. The law of blasphemy should be applied when we give an impression that we have (mis)appropriated the Mercy (pbuh) for the entire humanity.

The law of Tauheen-e-Resaalat should be implemented forthwith when it is found that we are talking about the law of blasphemy. The law of Tauheen-e-Resaalat should be implemented when we start thinking that it is possible to insult the Prophet and caricature him while it is actually impossible. Let us not forget that if we start killing for Tauheen-e-Resaalat then we won’t be there to kill. Because we all are Aasia Bibi. Her case isn’t confirmed, though.

qesaas khoon-e-tamanna ka maa(n)giye kis sey
gunah gaar hai kaun aur khu(n) baha keya hai

Finally, the law of Tauheen-e-Resaalat should be implemented in all sincerity when the preservers of the naamoos of the Prophet (pbuh) divide dunyaa from deen and deeni from dunyaawi in utter disregard of the Resaalah brought by the Rasool and which we were supposed to honour the most. It will be Tauheen-e-Resaalat if we do not camp here for a significant period of time. Because here lies the crux of it. Here lies the problem. And here lies the solution.
