Tasveer NaheeN Buntee

I am easily able to see the link between the cafeteria and the Library in our University Campus. I am, however, not able to see any common link between the thousand and one problems of the Muslim Ummah.

My picture of the Ummah as a whole and the Indian Muslims in particular is badly distorted – in my eyes. It is one of those jigsaw puzzles the different parts of which I am not able to put together in a manner that I could see the whole picture – at once.

But I am sure that anything less than a whole picture is a lie. A fabrication. An incomplete diagnosis. Will not lead to right conclusions. And the prescriptions will be unmatched to the diseases.

There is a way out though - I assume. A deep realization that there is a need for such a common thread. This common realization, too, is uncommon, unfortunately – like the thread. It is like ‘darkness on the top of darkness’. It is a darkness of ‘our own earning’.

Please help me come out of this predicament. It is not letting me rest. It is not allowing me to sleep soundly.
